THIS was my third attempt at having a day with the Ledbury and writing about it for H&H - we planned a day in December that was lost in that cold snap, and our second go at it also had to be called off in January's frost-bitten period. As I start race-riding again on 16 February, some may have questioned the wisdom of hurtling over hedges before I shorten my stirrups again and swap my hunting coat for a set of silks, but I was keen for a last day crossing this beautiful countryside.
