With a thriving underground unlicensed market, New York has asserted its cannabis culture over the past decade and, as legalization approached, a wave of cannabis consumption experiences began to inch into the spotlight. While taking steps to implement the legal market, temporary rules brought the unlicensed market to the forefront. The streets have already smelled like weed for some time, but the latest developments kicked the industry into overdrive. Now, a slew of cannabis experiences are available on tap in New York City, from exclusive membership-only spaces to readily acceptable shops.
