TWO BECOME ONE

Chrishell Stause always had a thing for drummers. But when she fell for Australian musician G Flip, born Georgia Flipo, the star of Netflix's reality juggernaut Selling Sunset surprised viewers, fans and even herself.

“I feel like you get to an age and you're supposed to know it all by then, but there is no age where you know it all, because you're always evolving,” the 41-year-old explains to Vogue Australia, perched on an ottoman in the living room of Flipo's Melbourne apartment. “And this is the perfect example of a relationship that a few years ago I wouldn't have thought was possible.”

In her 2022 memoir Under Construction, Stause detailed her closeness to her adoptive father, Jeff, in a childhood spent tagging along as he played gigs with his band. A tiny Chrishell would play roadie, assembling and packing down his drum kit. Later, she found herself gravitating to romantic prospects who were also percussionists. When the Australian festival season kicked off last year, Stause would often be found in the pit, watching G Flip singing from behind their drum kit. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
