A comment on t he 3D printing article in LX296: it said nothing about Linux; nothing about software needs, supporting libraries, preferred languages, user skill set or levels; and nothing about how open source has fostered the development of 3D printing (only that it has fostered it). And although it provided some history of the development, even that was superficial. It’s not evident what the reader is supposed to do with
