NEXT STEPS FOR DESIGNATED SAFE AND SUSTAINABLE TRAILS

At the Parliamentary debate in support of trail and adventure riding in NSW on 10 November 2022, four out of five speakers spoke positively about the need to support trail and adventure riding. The debate generally created a greater awareness in government that there are issues that need to be addressed.

However, it was disappointing that the Minister for the Environment wasn’t in the chamber to hear the debate or to respond to what was said. It is apparently not uncommon for a Minister not to be present, so not too much should be read into this.

While the debate appears to have not had any great effect, it has established that 21,121 NSW residents support improving trail and adventure riding
