Step inside the shot

ho says Colorado is landlocked? For the second year, Aspen is creating its own beach on top is decked out with the kind of striped cabanas, lounge chairs, and lifeguard towers that you typically only find much closer to sea level. The club is designed by renowned photographer Gray Malin, known for his signature images that combine the spirit of travel, artistry, and vintage luxury with a quick dose of escapism, and the Aspenx Beach Club is your chance to step inside one of his joyful scenes. For 12 weekends this winter (Jan. 27 to April 16), the club is hosting a three-course lunch from noon to 3 p.m. where seating is limited (100 people a day, adults only) but champagne flows freely. It doesn’t matter if you’re hitting the blacks or just clicking into your skis for the first time, your skills at the Beach Club are judged on your aprés essentials: drink in your hand, slouched beanie on your head, and friends by your side as you raise a glass to the good life.
