Having just completed the whirlwind renovation of a handsome Cotswold cottage, Amelia Harvey was intrigued when the adjoining property went on to the market. ‘I was literally moving in, but I couldn’t resist finding out more,’ she recalls. ‘A friend had come to help me unpack and, as we peeped over the wall at the next door cottage, buying it felt like a golden opportunity.’
