Starting out at 16 as a Saturday girl at a florist in Kendal’s town centre, Katie’s love for floristry only continued to bloom. She runs her own award-winning floristry business, Made in Flowers (made-in-flowers.co.uk), specialising in locally sourced and seasonally inspired arrangements.
‘Born and raised in Kendal, I never had and little narrow passageways snaking off to somewhere interesting, such as Method Cafe. This is a really cool place to go for brunch – they do incredible feel-good food, like pancakes topped with brûléed banana.
