“Light + Change”: The Art of Phillip K. Smith III

HE UNIVERSE of illumination and color, along with reflections on how we perceive it, is the subject of “Light + Change,” a show at the Palm Springs Art Museum (until May 7, 2023) featuring Phillip K. Smith III’s light-based work of the last two decades. Add to that the elements of space and of time, as you stroll through the four galleries and see works cycle through a palette of colors on flat LED panels.
