AS A SELF-TAUGHT ARTIST, Owen Williams says: “Every painting is a fresh lesson; often paintings fail and the only answer is to tear them up and start again.”

Seeing Owen’s extensive, and captivating, body of work, it’s hard to imagine any watercolour he starts could fail. He paints woodcock, hares, all kinds of birds, wildfowl and deer, in which his lasting love for these islands’ flora and fauna shines through.
