Hand-rearing flamingos: hard work but fun

FLAMINGOS are fabulous, funny birds, with lots of endearing characteristics, which zoo keeper Issy Wright is getting to know very well. Issy has been hand-rearing baby Chilean flamingos (Phoenicopterus chilensis) at Cotswold Wildlife Park and is getting to know the quirky characters in her flock. Late in 2022 I went along to meet Issy and see the brood.
