Driving home after a long day at work, in October 2019, I cranked up the volume on Radio 2.
‘Just 48 hours until Serious Jockin’!’ Steve Wright’s voice boomed out.
Ooh, I love that segment, I thought happily.
Steve always played my favourite tunes.
But as I focused on the road in front of me, I saw a red car coming on the opposite direction, veering over towards me.
‘They’re on my side of the road,’ I said out loud.
I assumed they’d correct themself and carry on.
But when they was still heading straight for me seconds later, I became concerned.
I heard a weak voice calling out
If they’re not going to move, I’ll have to, I thought to myself.
