Leigh Knight’s Li125 Series 2

THE FAT LASS

The Lambretta Series 2 Li was produced by Innocenti from October 1959 until November 1961, when it was replaced by the new ‘slim style’ versions of the Li125 that began production in December of the same year.

The Series 2 Li was for all intents and purposes just an upgrade to the previous Series 1 Li model, with the main visual change being the headlight now mounted on the handlebars which had not been seen on a Lambretta scooter since the very first A and B models of the 1940s.

The Li125 had a 123cc engine capacity and produced a little over 5hp. In total 111,087 machines were produced before it was superseded by the third series of the Li range.
