Steve Geall’s Tora EVH is an absolute head-turner. On the downhill track or at the bike park, it stands apart from conventional machines with its two chains, steel construction, high main pivot and chunky rear swingarm, not to mention the motocross-style linkage lurking discreetly behind the chainring and idler cog.
If it looks familiar, that’s because it was inspired by the Brooklyn Machine Works TMX – a bike born in the late ’90s, when New York framebuilders Chris ‘Doc’ Boudreaux and Joseph Avedisian made a series of radical-looking steel
