My beanie baby Full of beans!

Picking out a pink sleepsuit in the shop, I felt my baby kick. A sign?

It was June 2018 and I was already mum to Kieran, then 14, and Joey, 11.

This time though, my pregnancy felt different so I wondered if I was expecting a girl.

At my 20-week scan, the sonographer confirmed it.

She noticed something else though.

‘She's measuring small,’ she said.

After tests, the consultant was concerned.

‘Your baby has a condition called intrauterine growth restriction,’ he said, explaining she wasn't getting the nutrients she needed from the placenta.
