Encouraging newcomers into our sport

I would like to tell your readers of an idea we came up with as a syndicate. Instead of going through with that awkward first day, we gave the day to as many youngsters and novices as we could find — especially those who do not come from a shooting background.

The idea was that we encourage youth and newcomers into our sport. We also get the birds flying for the first time, so everybody wins.

The day was a great success, with at least seven of the Guns taking their first birds ever. I
