CAD Modelling of the NSWGR Workman's van - Part 2 Exporting, 3D Printing and finishing the model

Introduction

The previous article on the NSWGR Workman's van covered the Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) model build sequence to create a full, 3D solid CAD model of the prototype [Editor's note: refer AMRM issue 357 December 2022]. The article concluded by leaving the model in a virtual format on a computer. In this instalment we cover converting the virtual geometry to generate into something physical, and in this case, 3D printing was chosen as the final output of the work.
