Dads on a mission

Settling myself down for the night, I began to look forward to the next day.

It was December 2018, and my daughter Sophie was due to come home for a visit the following day.

We also had a skiing trip lined up with her and her brother Gregor, then 18, for January.

I relished the chance to spend time with her.
