When God of War received its dramatic and critically acclaimed reboot in 2018, gamers from all over the world couldn’t wait for the sequel and 4 years later, gamers were treated to arguably the best game of 2022. God Of War: Ragnarok sees Kratos and his son Atreus hiding away in a winter-soaked land after the events of GOW 2018, yet that peace they seek is broken when the Aesir gods finally catch up to them. Ragnarok is one of the best-looking games on any platform, yet it’s the story that makes this one of the best games of the year and quite possibly of all time. The father/son bond between Kratos and Atreus is further explored and the conclusion to this game is as bittersweet as it gets. God of War: Ragnarok is without a doubt our game of 2022.
