After several days of hard weather, the mercury continues to drop and all signs are that more is to come. Heading out wildfowling this morning, I found the doors of my truck were frozen shut. When I finally managed to get them open with warm water and a great deal of swearing, they wouldn’t shut. I drove towards the estuary with both driver- and passenger-side doors clattering and tapping. My only option was to activate the central locking, which then froze shut.
