Flames need absolutely no introduction, and for their 14th album they’ve put together a suitably lavish special edition. Limited to just 1,000 copies, this box set sees new album splashed across two striking picture discs, alongside a CD version of the album, a sticker and a 28-page booklet. Perhaps most noteworthy of all, though, isIt’s quaint but also rather fetching, and will make a dashing if slightly eccentric addition to any metalhead’s wardrobe. Plus, of course, you can use it to count down the years ’til the band’s next release, or the far shorter intervals between people moaning online that the album’s too heavy, not heavy enough, too rough-hewn or too slick.
