COLLECTION GOES TO AUCTION

The latest Classic Car Auctions sale that took place in late March featured a number of lots from a single collection, with each car recently out of longterm storage. Having been off the road for some time, a certain amount of recommissioning work would be needed – or in some cases, a rather more comprehensive restoration. But among the better-condition cars on offer was a 1983 Lynx Eventer V12 HE, which attracted a lot of interest before eventually selling for an impressive £47,730 with fees.

This particular Eventer was the fourth conversion carried out by Lynx, and it looked splendid in Silver Green with a contrasting Dark Chocolate leather interior. Although its mileage of less than 35,000 was unwarranted, the car was very presentable thanks to a high-quality
