Newport Test Labs measured the mean speed of the Pro-Ject X2 B turntable at 33.33rpm as being 33.339rpm, which means that if the turntable were playing a signal recorded at 3000Hz, it would be reproduced as playing back at 3003Hz, which is an insignificantly small variation in speed.

At 45rpm, platter speed was also slightly higher than 45rpm, such that at this higher speed, a 3000Hz signal would play back at 3012Hz. Again, this is insignificant. In terms
