January 1957, Innocenti launched the LD150 MkIII, the final iteration of a range of scooters that had been introduced in 1951. The LD’s history is a complicated one: not only did it consist of three main designs, there were also many subtle variations between them. Even the final version, the MkIII, had gone through two distinct phases. Nevertheless it was the MkIII which proved to be a major commercial success, selling more than double the amount of machines as the LD150 MkII.
