Vespa SS180 This is now

Although he came to scooters relatively late in life, Gary’s lost no time in moving along from autos into classic scooter ownership. Although he’d quickly amassed an enviable collection in the form of a 1960 Lambretta Li150 Series 2, a 1954 Vespa Faro Basso VM2T and a 1978 Primavera 125, there was one particular classic Vespa he’d always fancied owning, a Vespa SS180. While attending the 2021 Brighton August Bank Holiday weekend Mod rally, Gary hooked up with a scooter enthusiast and collector who just happened to be selling a genuine low mileage 1965 Vespa Super Sport 180. A quick look over and a brief test ride later, the deal was done.

All that glitters isn’t gold
