RECENTLY, my son was exercising his 11.3hh Welsh pony and we were contemplating jumping a 30cm cross-pole, setting ourselves up for his showjumping competition. The pony is incredibly safe, but isn’t always the most forward going which, most of the time, plays into our hands.
