QUEEN OF HEARTS

Locking my hands together and kneeling on the floor, it was time to practice something I had done hundreds of times before.

Pumping my hands up and down on the chest of the Annie doll, performing CPR, my technique was being assessed.

Working as part of the Virgin Cabin Crew, annual first aid training was something I had completed over and over – and in August 2019 I had passed with flying colours.

Which meant that I could go home to my hubby Richard, and little boys Stanley, then four, and Tobias, then one, ready for a summer weekend.

And we had a very fun one planned.

Spending every single summer holiday with my mum, Patsy, now 70, alongside my dad Andrew, and sisters Terri, 37, and Nicola, 50, it was the perfect excuse to have a good laugh.

So, that’s exactly what we did.
