Who doesn't love a good TV mystery? Inspector Morse, A Touch Of Frost. Heck, I'll even admit to a bit of Columbo and Quincy, M.E. back in the day.

So a chance conversation with one of my permission owners had me reaching for my raincoat, trilby hat and little black book. The farm has a couple of storage warehouses which it leases to a company that distributes seeds and bulbs to the garden industry.

For much of the year the units store all kinds of generic farming tat, but around this time of year boxes of bulbs start arriving to be chilled and kept ready to sell in the spring to gardeners up and down the country.
