The best new old stuff

Outside of the versions of the Beatles’ Revolver and the massively expanded 20th anniversary edition of Wilco’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (eight CDs in the Super Deluxe Edition), there were a number of significant reissues from the vaults. We single out just five.

THE FINN BROTHERS Finn

With brothers Neil and Tim between projects. Reissued on vinyl, it came with an extra record of other songs from the period. These included the demos for and other songs that, polished, ended up on the Crowdies’ and and Tim’s solo albums. A masterclass in songwriting and a fine double album in its own right.
