Black women being presented as one-dimensional, sassy side characters who barely utter more than a “nuh-uh-ah” and an eyeroll. Covertly queer-coded characters who are often killed off. Historically, this is the representation women and LGBTQIA individuals have been provided onscreen. In too much media, this is still the case even today, although things have noticeably progressed.
