Although the extent of Exeter’s railway network does not compare with that found in larger urban centres, it has always held a great deal of interest for railway enthusiasts, not least due to having several distinctive features that arose in part due to the different railway companies which built two main lines through the city.
These lines met at St David’s station, making it an important crossroads and the main
