The last ERFs

When MAN took over ERF in 2000, it soon realised it needed to cut costs, and cut them rapidly. ERF was losing money and simply not selling enough vehicles to keep its unique identity. The easiest way for MAN to save money was to use its cabs.

MAN’s initial decision was to use the F90 cab on the ECS model. Luckily, at the time the ECX was launched which used a reworked EC cab. Both models, however, were very short-lived, and in 2002 the ECT came on the scene.
