e started this year with (I know, that feels ages ago) and ended with and in between we’ve had the thrill of cinema truly restored I was the first journalist to talk to Baz about the film at the start of the year while he was furiously editing in preparation of Cannes, and I’ve had the pleasure of talking to him and his onscreen EP, Austin Butler, a number of times during the film’s incredible box office journey. We also can’t wait for all the delights coming next year… including the latest from a filmmaker has championed from the very beginning: Christopher Nolan. His take on the father of the atom bomb in promises wall-to-wall stars and the sort of bold filmmaking we love to be thrilled by. That project kicks off our massive 2023 with a, ahem, bang and we cannot wait to start another 12 months of movies in January. Until then we hope you have a holiday season filled with all the film clichés of Christmas. We’re off to burn the turkey while falling in love in the snow and discovering the best present is one you can’t wrap.
