All of a sudden, my pond ducks have become wild. I collected them at eight weeks and watched as a keeper expertly caught them from a sweltering pen of many hundreds. No net prevented them from leaving over the wire but they were flightless and without guile. They were trapped in two crates within minutes and I drove them through Suffolk lanes to their new Essex home.
