Blast Beats‘ sound generation is based on the old Yamaha OPL3 chip (YMF262). This chip is a complete FM synth with a large number of customizable parameters, but at the time they were only accessible to programming geeks. With Blast Beats it‘s different: With lots of faders you can tweak the sounds directly and the sequencer is up to date with features such as parameter lock and random functions. That definitely sounds exciting enough for a test!

Robust and compact
