Norlyz: First Dawn On Planet B.

lectro-acoustic crossover has probably been around ever since electronic sound generators have existed. And yet this hybrid terrain continues to produce exciting gems many years later. The Berlin formation Norlyz, formerly Schattenspiel, is such an example. The four musicians arm themselves with instruments such as cello, trumpet, flugelhorn, saxophone, clarinet and percussion and duel with electronic beats and synth basses for musical supremacy. It‘s an even duel, that much can be said. Danceable and driving is the battle, but at the same time cinematic, ethereal and mystical. Influences from Jazz, Ambient or World Music repeatedly make their way to the ear, resulting in an exciting symbiosis with the techno basics that sounds new and exciting. Certainly also on stage - whether here or on Planet
