‘Dad's going to kill us’

YOU'RE THE JUDGE!

Pulling on a tancoloured jacket with a fur trim, Amina Said, then 18, got ready to go out for dinner with her little sister, Sarah, 17, and their dad, Yaser, 50.

It was 1 January 2008.

A new year, a new start.

The sisters were born in Texas, USA.

But their dad had moved from Egypt 25 years earlier.

Met and married their mother, Patricia, 36.

The couple had a son, Islam, 19, quickly followed by the two girls.

And in 1997, Yaser was granted US citizenship. He worked as a taxi driver.

The girls grew up with Western culture and attended a local school.

They wore T-shirts, jeans, headbands and earrings.
