In early November, Swiss multinational Nestle announced its partnership with the Africa Food Prize to help accelerate the transformation of food systems in Africa. The aim is to strengthen the continent's food security and boost its resilience to climate change.
Every year, the Africa Food Prize awards US$100 000 (about R1,7 million) to individuals and institutions that are pioneering the transformation of agricultural and food systems on the continent.
