Corelle makes crockery from three-layer tempered glass that’s suitable for use in a dishwasher (it’s the next big trend in motorhomes, wink), microwave, fridge and freezer as well as the oven up to 175 °C. OK so it’s heavier than melamine, etc, but it’s half the weight of traditional ceramics from home and has the same feel. Plus, the material is made of 80% recycled glass.
