It’s never a bind taking our Murvi to the factory in Devon for its annual service. There’s plenty to see and enjoy in this county of rolling green hills, terracotta red earth, coastal scenery and the rugged interior of dramatic Dartmoor.
On previous visits to the southwest, we’d followed most of the St Michael line, which crosses England from St Michael’s Mount in Cornwall to Hopton-on-Sea in Norfolk. It’s a well-travelled pilgrim route, tracked by dowsers, Paul Broadhurst and Hamish Miller in the 1980s. They describe in their book, The Sun and the Serpent, how they discovered a strong Michael energy line intertwined with a softer, more sinuous Mary line. Both weave across the country close to the pilgrim route.
