“Just leave Wayne Smith to his retirement,” Turinui, the former Wallaby turned TV commentator, quipped at an All Blacks Tours function the night before the Black Ferns and All Blacks played a double header against Japan and Australia respectively at Eden Park.
“Leave the poor fella alone. He was happy being retired and it’s not fair you’ve added one of the best coaches in the world to the Black Ferns.”
