It was the crowning moment of their US trip and as the Prince and Princess of Wales stepped onto the green carpet for the second annual Earthshot Prize awards ceremony in Boston they were greeted by deafening cheers.
Alongside the Prince, who wore a velvet tuxedo, Kate dazzled in a vibrant green gown by Solace London – rented via Hurr (which charges from £74 for this particular dress) – glittering heels, an emerald and diamond choker from the Delhi Durbar Parure that belonged to the Queen and was worn on several occasions by the last Princess of Wales, Prince William’s mother Diana, and Asprey emerald and diamond earrings mounted in platinum.
The royal couple were the final guests to arrive at MGM Music Hall at and actress Catherine O’Hara and star Shailene Woodley.
