Q&A Alison McCormack

Cyc: Hey Alison, tell us a bit about yourself.

Alison McCormack: I come to Bicycle Network with significant executive and commercial experience in Australian and international organisations and have served many senior leadership roles in government and commercial organisations. Most recently, at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), as Head of Commercial, I oversaw retail operations, festivals, event management, and hospitality services and served as Chief Financial Officer. I’m also a qualified accountant!

But, most importantly, I’ve always loved bike riding and helping people get on the bike. I’ve volunteered and spent many years leading women’s bike riding groups along Beach Road to start their own bike riding journey. To take on the role as CEO of Bicycle Network and be able to combine my working experience with my passion for bike riding, and enabling people to ride more regularly, is a dream come true.

: Now tell us a bit more about your love of cycling!
