Powder-full planet

hether or not you’re familiar enough with Aspen Mountain to call it Ajax, you’ve definitely been on an enriching behind-the-trees tour. Starting December 12, ACES snowshoe excursions go out twice daily from meeting points at the top of Aspen and Snowmass gondolas. During the two-hour experiences, ACES Naturalists lead small groups along babbling creeks and mountain ridges, pointing out animal tracks and habitats and telling stories to impart knowledge about local wildlife, winter tracking, mountain ecology, and more. These off-the-beaten-trail experiences are intended to provide a fresh perspective about the mountains you already know and love.
