WALL FILLER Barkers’ Butts, of C1 Midlands West (South), have added an eighth player to their prestigious home-grown ‘international wall’ of photographs at their clubhouse in Meriden on the outskirts of Coventry.
Back-row Olivia Constable, a Hartpury College student who’s played for England U18, has joined the likes of Jim Hamilton, Neil Back and Tom Wood in achieving national honours. She made her debut in the 64-0 win over Scotland this year.
The club will host a 75th anniversary dinner at the Manor Hotel on 4 February.
CHIN UP Centre Will Simonds, 22, quickly found a new club, albeit in sad circumstances, when Wasps ceased to function. He made a National One debut for Chinnor in their 31-21 win at Taunton.
Aylesbury-born and a former England U18 player, Simonds joined Wasps Academy in 2018-19 and progressed to the senior squad the following year.
