California ROADTRIP

Regular readers may know that I have a ’69 Westfalia that’s turned into a long-term project. I was hoping to have it on the road for this summer, but a project house purchase and finding a rare gap in the builders’ schedule meant I ended up working on the house more than the Bus. I also kept changing the goalposts with the Westy which didn’t help; I’ve decided to fully paint it inside as well as out.

With this in mind and the date when most of my family would be descending on Devon for a few weeks fast approaching, I emailed the VW Press Office, who luckily had a spanking new T6.1 California available for the times I needed. Better still, it was a Candy White/Ascot Grey California Ocean with plenty of optional extras!
