Delete your phone number from Facebook

I’m always amazed at how easy it is for tech giants to store personal information like your phone number. As an example, I’ve never created a Facebook account and yet I recently discovered that its parent company Meta has somehow saved my number on its servers.

Here’s how you can check, and then get it removed. Visit then select whether to check for a mobile or landline number (there’s also an option for your email address). Type your number on the next page ( in our screenshot), then select both ‘Facebook and Messenger’ and Instagram in the box below . Click ‘Next’ at the bottom and Meta will send
