THE REINCARNATION OF BIG GREEN

Just a few months ago, I was on the phone with the editor of Gun Digest discussing the possibility of an article about what happened to Remington once the Freedom Group was sold off. No one—no one—seemed to have any information about the fate of the firearms we’ve all come to rely on.

Doing a quick internet search, I found a website for the new Remington firearms company—RemArms (RemArms.com)—featuring a photo of a familiar face shouldering a new Remington shotgun. Doing a double-take, I told Luke I could easily handle the firearms end of things without issue, as that face was long-time friend Dave Fulson of Safari Classics Productions.

On the phone with Fulson the following day, he gave me the lowdown on the new company, how they were staying in Ilion, New York (not an easy course of action considering my home state’s stance on firearms), at least for time being … and retaining a majority of the workforce.
