Kyrgyzstan –Tossor Pass

My well proven Pajero (Shogun) has been absent from the magazine for about 18months, but no doubt some readers will find it a familiar sight. I've written articles for NZ4WD from the Sahara Desert in North Africa, Albania in the Balkans, Mongolia's Gobi Desert, locating ancient fortresses in Uzbekistan's deserts (seems I quite like deserts!), half a dozen or so countries out there in Central Asia, and of course, right here at home in NZ's stunning South Island… all with the same Pajero. It's going on a decade that I've been travelling, on and off, to some fairly remote parts of planet Earth with this same vehicle. So, when Mark (Editor) said he wanted to run some material on pre-Covid world 4WD travel, it wasn't too hard for me to pick out a previously untold tale to tell here.
