The passion for trapping burns bright in Alan Probst. For nearly 10 years he has been promoting and portraying trapping to the homes of people who think that the last trapper died centuries ago. His many products and businesses all are made with the goal of recruiting new trappers and helping those at any skill level catch more fur.
Alan is always looking for the next way to showcase trapping and get novices to put steel in the ground. He filmed the first videos of National Trappers Association convention demonstrations, created more than 40 videos of famous trappers like Johnny Thorpe and Bob Wendt, helped start the first-ever television trapping series on the Pursuit Channel, and through his North American Trapper website, is selling starter trapping packages), many probably thought that the last trap snapped in the 1830s. Soon, he will be doing more to help introduce fur catching to thousands of new viewers.
